This copy of the hilarious "MEET THE PARENTS" is anything but novel for the Indian audience ,who have witnessed the boy meets -girl and parents’ opposition bit umpteen times in the past.

KHDBB

The flick does not leave the residue of a single scene with the viewers after the show is ended.
This Rahul Dholakia attempt is about Roger Patel (Paresh Rawal) a successful NRI desi (a migrant from Gujarat to New Jersey) who has with time adopted the mannerisms and language of the west, while preserving his rich Indian values and Gujarati traditions. A possessive father of two pretty daughters Ritu (Kim Sharma) and Toral Mehta aims to seek a match for his daughters who has the 3 P’s - Professional Patel owning a Property!

Like other bollywood flicks Ritu falls in love with Sunder (Jimmy Shergill) but the 3 P’s that were Roger’s yardstick are missing. Hence to convince his to be pop-in-law Sunder goes over to Patel’s mansion for 7 days but keeps goofing up and Roger snaps at him at every opportunity. This leads to some hilarious confrontations between the 2 men. The screenplay relies too heavily on the punches that have been seen earlier, and as a result the love story gets cumbersome after a point.

The story is steady in the initial reels but gets interesting at the interval point. The light moments are interesting and enjoyable but the story refrains from holding your attention.
Music is nothing special but Jimmy Shergill delivers well and Kim Sharma is passable. Paresh Rawal is hilarious and the highlight. KHDBB is not a visual delight and a weak fare in most respects but a harmless see.
